Activating Appropriate

I just wanted to make sure that I am correct on this, but I wanted to ask just in case.

I know that appropriate activates when your opponent draws a card outside of his draw phase. However, suppose I sent his sangan to the graveyard and he added a monster from his deck to his hand. Could this count for the activation of appropriate? I don't think so but I thought it was worth asking.

Appropriate will only activate if your opponent draws outside of his/her draw phase.

Searcher cards like Sangan add cards to the hand. So, no.

That's what I thought. Just wanted to confirm.
