Proverb i came across today.

"He is not a wise man who cannot play the fool on occasion."

An sorta a proverbs guy, i like to invent some, or rip some from google. This one today sorta got my attention. u_u

If anyone have any interesting proverb, feel free to +share.

I got interesting German proverbs which I will try to translate into English.

One would be...

"Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund" -> "Morning hours are blessed with gold"

It basically refers to how your day is subject to how your morning takes place.

Here i got another one:
"For want of wise men , fools sit on benches."

It's like, when the boss is talking b*tichez don't talk. lol

Off-Topic, female dogs can't talk, either way.

On-Topic, I got another German proverb:

"Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst" -> "Whosoever was there first gets the right to eat first"

Self-explanatory?

"In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king"

Basically means that where people have nothing, the guy who has something that isn't quite enough is still more powerful.

Lol Irate, i kinda like that one, will use it on my family u.u

Also, am looking for proverbs that sorta have deep English way, something like only few will actually understand, example:

"Send not a cat for lard."

For german... Es wird wie es wird = It will be what it will be.

For general... A good man is not good because of where he comes from or what he has learned. A good man is good because of what he has done.
