Machines are a powerful and consistant monster type that just keeps getting more support. One crucial part of most machine archetypes, however, is the gadgets. How these guys might fit into the archetpye you're talking about is an optional addition to what you want to say.
One very obvious machine archetype is... the machinas. Wow. Never expected that one. Anyway, with the addition of some gadgets you can add more machines to your hand to special summon machina fortress relatively easily, and you can also overlay the gadgets into gear gigant X and search out a machina gearframe to find another. Obviously, a good card to go with the gadgets is ultimate offering, now limited, which allows you to summon gadget after gadget after gadget, overlayign them as you please. Daigusto emeral and pot of avarice are good choices to involve in this kind of strategy for obvious reasons.
