Duel Academy Regionals Signups - September 2012

Yes, folks. It is the time of year when there is a swiss tournament to determine a regionals winner. Regionals are considered a step up from locals and a step down from nationals.

Rules

1. There will be two tournaments on DA, the swiss tournament with a cut to top 4 if there are 32 or less players and a cut to top 8 if there are 33 or more players, and a single-elimination tournament which does not feature a top cut.

2. The number of rounds will be determined by the number of players, using KDE Official tournament guidelines.

3. Signups will end Saturday, September 29th at midnight, DA time.

4. Players will be paired randomly using either MANTIS, or failing that, random draw.

5. Players who are shown to not be active for two rounds will be removed forcibly by the tournament director (that's me).

6. Rulings or results will be appealed to the head judge (that's also me).

7. Six days will be given for rounds, with the seventh day as a catchup day to submit results, determine activity levels and remove people as necessary.

8. Both tournaments will be played in September 2012 format.

9. As there are two sign-ups in this thread, you need to indicate which of the two you are signing up for. Time zones and DN names are also necessary.

Wait, we are allowed to sign up for both tournaments? what if the same member won both tournaments, or more than one member got in a similar situation?

I have always allowed people to sign up for both. If you wish to review the results from the last two regionals, they were fairly diverse as far as people were concerned.
