Soul Taker? Need Help!

people talk about soul taker being the good. but why wasent itgood back then? iv heard that some cards miss timing to it. can some explain what misses timing to soul taker?

The cards missed their timing because first the monster was send to grave then they gained 1000 LP's but the last thing to happen would be them gaining 1000 LP's not their monster being destroyed and send to grave.

the effect triggers when this cards is sent to the grave but first the magic has to resolve and gave 1000 lp to ur opp and that make elemental hero miss its activation timming.
