Determa - My new archetype.

So, what is Determa? Determa is an archetype that emphasizes set monster card summons, which give high field control but are balanced in the fact that they cannot attack straight away. They also use card recycling by returning monsters to the hand when Special Summoning as opposed to sending them to the graveyard. This ensures usable and deadly combos and they can easily be combined with Xyz monsters to make for some fast OTKs. Your thoughts and criticism is appreciated.



When this card is Summoned successfully, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Determa" monster from your hand in Face-Down defense position by revealing it to your opponent.




This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by returning 2 face-down "Determa" monsters to your hand (These cards must be revealed to your opponent). Once per turn, by discarding 1 "Determa" monster you can reveal 1 "Determa" monster in your hand to Special Summon it in Face-Down defense position.




Once per turn you can tribute 1 monster you control to Special Summon 1 "Determa" monster from your Deck in Face-Down defense position by revealing it to your opponent.




You can send this Face-Down defense position monster to the Graveyard to add 1 "Determa" monster from your Deck to your hand.




You can reveal this card in your hand and return one monster you control to the hand to Special Summon this monster in Face-Down defense position. When this card is Face-Up on the Field, You can Set one extra monster in addition to your Normal Summon.




If this card is in Face-Down defense position when your opponent Special Summons a monster, you can return this card to your hand and reveal it to your opponent to negate the Special Summon and destroy the monster.




When this card is Normal Summoned, you can return any number of Face-Down defense position "Determa" monsters from your side of the Field to your hand by revealing them to your opponent. This card gains 800 ATK for each monster returned by this effect.




Select 1 Face-Down defense position monster you control; that monster is treated as a "Determa" monster until the End Phase.




Whenever a "Determa" monster you control is returned to your hand; draw 1 card.




2 Level 4 "Determa" monsters.
You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card to special summon 1 "Determa" monster from your hand or Deck in Face-Down defense position. If a Face-Down monster you control is selected as an attack target you can remove 1 Xyz material from this card to negate the attack.

The only thing I find odd is determa defense has little to nothing to do with defending...

Otherwise they look awesome ^_^

Yeah... Name might be a little misleading. I think I was originally going to have a different effect but forgot to change the name. I'll rename it. Thanks for your comment

Was ify at first but this is pretty decent alot of loopin involved and negating. cool
