You can have matches against people 1vs1 or 2vs2 thats just basic mode.. there are others modes like you can have battle match .. get skills and take out your openents hp

Story: Long ago, in a world filled with humans there were 9
Gods whose duty was to rule over this world, and keep its peace: this
was the world known as Gaia. Regardless of this, the Gods became
corrupted and disunited over power. The Goddess Isis however did not
and tried to solve the problem, but because of this she was exiled by
the other 8 Gods.
The Goddess Isis then decided to make Fantasy Land,
an extraordinary island where everyone could live in peace and harmony
every day, and to ensure her ideal, she created 8 guardians to help her
govern and protect Fantasy Land.
However, after thousands of years had passed, a rift
suddenly appeared within Eternal Point (the gateway to Fantasy Land)
and opened up Fantasy Land to Gaia. This was an opportunity to allow
foreigners from other worlds to travel into Fantasy Land, but there was
insecurity and fear. After all, they did not know Fantasy Land or its
inhabitants. Therefore, the Goddess Isis decided to hold a yearly
tennis tournament, to ease the insecurity and doubt of everyone. She
would then grant one wish to the winner of the tournament.
