I think the 2 cards that piss me of the most are Debris and One for one simply because everyones running 3 maxx c. That makes it very difficult to go off game 1 effectively. Despite that both of these cards are usually sided out games 2 and 3, especially in the mirror, it just bugs me sometimes game 1

Was thinking Of Maining the second reaper instead of siding it. Good against rabbit and the mirror , forces them to waste their warnings and prisons etc. Havent tested that yet might soon.

I really dont like 2 Caius cause of the dead hands i can get when I go 2nd, and it just sits in my hand most of the time. Its just so much better when you go first, that 1 is fine. Was thinking of siding into the 2nd when I go first

Really dont like veiler much anymore since in most situations maxx c is so much better in majority of matchups

Dimensional Prison is vastly superior to bottomless; more versitle regardless if you go first or second, and gets rid of Sangan, Zenmaines, etc

Try using Mind Crushes, although not very effective against the DW's, it really helps against GK's or SS' .

Get in 2 Mind Crushes alongside your Dustshot and you should gain tempo very easly.

You could use a different approach on this by the usagw of Doppel Warrior, but that I'm not very sure about.

Also side in Dark Coffin. Seriously it's awsome (:

From my perspective, you sorta didn't miss something .. but wouldn't Dark Bribe and Starlight road would be a little usefull there ?

why side spirit reaper ?

also how are the imps testing ? i could see better options like Shadow imprisoning mirror or bottomless

Mind crush was decent start of the format. Now not so much because of better options to play as well as the format being more defined. It would come down to personal preference and space issues. Gks have fallen into obscurity, and the deck already has main decked outs to it. Six Sam is pretty much the same thing; The cant effectively deal with maxx C veiler and t king atm. They will waste so many outs trying to keep control when many outs in this deck are simply one ofs.

And Dark Coffin is pointless there are cards in the main and side that do the same thing dark coffin can do but better.

Not really. Like i mentioned about most of the outs in plants are easy one ofs so I dont need to give my opponent that draw. Raiou and tengu win most games by themselves anyways.

There really isnht much to use starlight road for. Anyone can play around it. Storm doesn't hurt me, at all unless they try to push for game, regardless i usually have like just 1 back row and maxx c in hand. With dark hole most they do is get rid of tking. Again Maxx C in hand. its always very difficult to effectively use hole against plants when im constantly controlling with tengu, zenamines, etc. And ofc Stardust is easy to make in the deck by itself

in an opposing situation, I would only walk into starlight if im desperate. Usually Im not gonna heavy/hole unless im certain theres no road and/or i have mst in hand to destroy my card so you dont summon stardust. Regardless in those situations i do it when i have game

Ex: today at a regional guy has 3 back rows 1 monster and 3200 left (he was 1600 after the solemn) left. I have zenmaines at the board. With heavy, mind control, mst, and econ in hand. I heavy, he starlight roads. I attempt to mst my storm, i force him to solemn the mst cause he is in a losing situation and needs the stardust. Right there i just got rid of two backrows and still control of the game because of my hand. With e con and mind control i was able to use stardust and the other monster as I see fit. I forgot to mention that he did have a mirror force as his last backrow. I dont think i would have lost even if i did wait it out, but i had game right there so i might as well.

The 2nd reaper does wonder in so many situations. Id main 2 if i could find space.

When Rabbit became TCG legal, various plant players started realizing that as inconsistent as the deck is. they can take control once rabbit goes off. Especially if maxx c isnt in the hand. Even though using maxx c almost assures the +1, they can risk it. Dolka and laggia do so much on their own. And they have no way to get over spirit reaper, effectively. It will stall for a while, forcing them to use various outs to get rid of it. Cept with smashing or lance and they just 1 for 1. Ok thats one less out to deal with. Not to mention reaper already baited out so much stuff. Warning, book etc. You dont lose a card from hand but still lose a card in general, leaving one less card for me to deal with.

Speaking of that matchup, thats why i like to have tour guide. Going first against Rabbit. Tour guide into sangan into leviathan and detach. They cannot run over anything over 2400 without going -1. They have to sometimes make utopia over a dino, or use smashing and lance. All outs that had to be used prematurely because of one card

And imps have been working very well. There was a point where i had 2 imps and 1/2 mirror in my side. However people started siding in more outs too it, as well as till being able to summon grapha since returning a dw to the hand to special it gets over mirror, they can just poke 2700 and leave it at that. Yea it negates grapha, snow, tour guide but it doesnt stay on the field long. So my main focus is ttoo make sure the field spell isnt in play. As well as making sure you can use Card destruction to wreck me, as well as trying to use dragged down. And crow deals with grapha faster.

I would side the 2nd bottomless but d prison is so much better than bottomless its so iffy right now in the format, id honestly just replace the one bottomless with the 2nd smashing ground. Not to mention the dark world matchup is already fairly easy. Honestly what makes it difficult is the field spell. As well as they controlling your hand with dragged down.

I agree Dimensional Prison does wonders even though a lot of people said it will not be used due to the 3 MST and Heavy in play but instead D. Prison is so awesome this format. If I were you i would try and fit in the second copy of it. And I see you like one of the techs I was using in scraps cuz you are using Scapegoat in a lot of deck XD, speaking of which how well does it do in the deck?

I did try prison at 2, and raiou and 3 on DN and it do well. And then i remembered that DN is bad for testing.

I actually did like 2 prison after testing it a few days ago. I was running 42 cards. Which really isnt bad. Various players are starting to do this too, it spreads the chances of drawing multiple tengu and raiou, etc. However i still like 41, i just need to find the space. I thought about taking the veiler out just leaving 3 maxx c, however i will feel very unsafe. I feel like im fine without it, but i just want that tech veiler.

Now that i think about it cutting the lone veiler for maybe the 2nd prison or reaper wouldnt be that bad. Maxx c does veilers job better anyways. However i still like the reassurance veiler can bring,k so most likely id keep it. Or ill go back to 42 for a bit .

As for scapegoat, its good when you have the bulb/spore in hand/grave, but the rest is subpar. Or just to prevent otks, but its also siding fodder. I dont think its an absolute necessity, but i like it.

Other cards ive had problems with are debris and one for one like i said before with everyone running maxx c. Making plays one for one dandylion extremely unsafe, unless i see all possible outs they have are in the grave. Regardless, majority of the games you win will be due to grinding it out with Raiou and Tengu. Especially if start off turn 1 t king, they have no out to it, and next turn u follow it up with tengu.
