if DA was in the anime

so i was dueling kanga earlier today a though 'man some of the crap we do here would look really good in the anime'   i mean in my time here i've done and said some crazy things plus we got a colorful (for lack of a better word) group of people here so what do you think (i know it will never hapen but whats the fun of a 'what if' if i does)

so we only use our sigs to show off what characters we are @ABCBooks? Also really if DA is going to be an anime then it has to be a dueling one, no super power of any kind. Like here ill give you mines. Of course you know what my character looks like thanks to my sig so yeah that's me there, but instead of being able to equip Venom and become Agent Venom, I just have him as a duel spirit. He would be similar as Yubel in GX where her's and Jaden's soul merged, it would be like that. So im like Jaden being able to speak and interact with duel spirits.

Well it is going to be dueling lol. It will be like your ygo story uk and shet aka dueling

eh no need , that would require a render of said avatar which would be a hassle if you cant find one. Really just keep any desired avatar as it is.

so how do we make our character

This isnt even out yet and we are still working on it, so we cant give out details. If anything ill say you can just be who you are currently or make up your own lore. It is roleplay after all

I could think of that in a day lol I also can think of my backstory right on the spot. So here it is.

Name: Flash Dreyar
Age: 17
Race: White
Parents: Laxus Dreyar (Yugioh Dimension)
            Mirajane Dreyar (Yugioh Dimension)
Backstory: I was born into a rich family. The Dreyar family is rich and has power over many countries and lands. However my parents are always busy so I was always alone. The servants were the ones who took care of me and taught me various things. However during the times I wasn't learning, I was practicing dueling. I would always lose when I faced someone so I tried to stop dueling for a while, but I couldn't help it. My unique gift keeps me in the game. My gift is that I can see duel spirits, they were always around me. However one day I met a new duel spirit to which one I have never heard of. He said his name was Venom, and he wanted to be noticed and gain power beyond anything else. So I agreed to help him out, he gave me a new deck and then split into a few powerful monsters. When I used that deck against my friends, it not only beat them but the duel hurt them. So they became scared and didn't want to duel me. I though dueling would make lots of friends but yet in the end it just took that away from me. I was about to quit dueling when I came upon an ad for registrations to Duel Academy. So I signed up sending my parents an email about what I was doing, which they totally supported. So I'm here now trying my hardest to resist playing that deck while improving my dueling skills. I still have a lot of work to do.

This is not a good backstory since I came up with it on the spot. However that just sums up my characters life so yeah.

Awwh, I was planning on god-moding through it ... xD.

1. Banning some meta decks (or all) is all well and good if you want but no premade decks, that's boring.

I feel like we need either premade decks or a set, limited cardpool to make it more balanced and anime feelish. Reason I say premade is cuz in anime for some reason archetypes/cards are limited to one person.

To answer the questions posted: 

1. The villains will have premade decks (i dont think we can make premade decks for everyone participating as it really cant be done)

2. Meta decks are all banned, anti meta as well ( we will follow sth among the lines of prodecklist, but the point is to have fun and we will try to keep decks as balanced as possible, maybe we might create a custom banlist as that would be a good idea.

3. I did propose tag duels, but those would be restricted to ygopro. These type of events work better on dn due to the customizability

We havent decided yet. The best option would be to include all platforms. We just thought of using dn cuz of its manual system which would allow some "boss" duels kinda, however if most users do want ygopro (i have a feeling they will) we have no reason to push for dn.

Plus Dn shouldnt be a problem since you will be dueling us anyway. Dn just works better for these roleplay things because you can actually chet (sth villains do) or make up anime rules and etc. Think about it for a sec. We can always use ygopro for tags though

those 2 r completely different events, this is going to be a drawn, frame by frame anime with plot that you WATCH so, no, no one will actually DUEL ._. if anything. While event in question is a completely different thing.....

Not to bust your bubble or anything, but I believe implementing actual duels within the event would be something cool to do.

There is two ways to do this: first, we can have it pure role-play where we write down a story and play between the lines; second, we write down a story - or, we let people duel and then we write down a story. Each person going to design their own characters with pros and cons and then present it. Then each character will be assigned a premade custom deck by the host. We don't really need to say "no meta decks", we can have meta cards, but a downgraded builds perhaps.

As for dueling platforms, I'd recommend YGOPro if you're going with normal duels; and Dueling Network if you want to use special kind of powers in the duels.
