Hey all,

Wanted to share another deck and see if anyone could give me their thoughts on ways to improve it. Right now, it's a zombie deck that has a high reliance on Doomkaiser Dragon and Assault Mode. If possible, I'd like to make this meta-capable while still retaining the general idea of the deck. I really like how it's set right now as well, but feel it could always use improvements with all of my decks.

Unfortunately, ZombieWorld Control isn't viable anymore. The deck is nice, but it calls back to point in the game that's simply far too slow now. Also, there are quite a few new cards in the the zombie realm that are work looking into, if you have the time.

The archetype is called Shiranui. They just very recently became TCG. They have a minor banish-eske engine, though it's more of recycling technique so that being banished is no longer a death threat for the zombie engine

  • They have a Lvl 2 tuner that can Special Summon any Zombie Synchro from the Extra Deck through it's own special effect.
  • They have a Lvl 4 monster that works like a Wolfbark.
  • Another Lvl4 monster that's a ROTA (for his other archetypal card names) every time he's used for a Synchro Summon.
  • A relatively decent Field Spell.
  • A trap card that's literally an Icarus Attack for zombies.



I can give you a basic core to work off of, since I played the deck extensively:

  • 2x Youtou - Shiranui --- This guy is the new lvl2 tuner. He very much replaces Plaguespreader do to his effect, which is: "You can banish this card, and 1 other zombie-type monster, from your graveyard; special summon 1 zombie-type synchro monster from your extra deck whose level equals the combined levels of the banished monsters"
  • 1x Swordsmith of Shiranui --- This guy is the all-around ROTA for the Shiranui archetype. However, to do so, you need to synchro summon with him. He's very much useless outside of that, and you never want him in your hand. So you mill him out.
  • 2/3x Chief Priest of Shiranui --- This guy is the Wolfbark of the deck, so you can make a lot of easy Rank 4s with him. However, it does require a normal summon. He does have a neat perk where, if he's banished, he can pop a face-up card on the field.
  • 0/1x Samurai of Shiranui --- This guy isn't all that helpful. He can boost his atk on a him, temporarily. And when he's banished, you can add a Shiranui from your grave to your hand. He doesn't actually do anything important, however.
  • 0/1x Shiranui Style: Reincarnation Formation --- This card is their new field spell. At the cost of discarding a card, you can Special Summon any zombie in your grave with 0def. The catch is that you can't control any monsters to begin with.
  • 3x Shiranui Style: Sword of Shallow --- This is the Icarus Attack the zombie game received recently. Tribute a zombie, pop 2 cards, and then banish 1 Shiranui monster from your deck. If you banish Chief Priest (mentioned above) through this card, you can effectively pop 3 cards your opponent controls for the cost of 1. If you tribute Goblin Zombie for it, you get a search too.
  • 2x Mezuki
  • 3x Uni-Zombie --- This one is relatively new. He's a level 3 tuner who can increase the level of any monster on the field....at the cost of being a foolish burial for any zombie-type monster in your deck.
  • 2/3x Zombie Master
  • 3x Goblin Zombie
  • 3x Book of Life
  • 1x Foolish Burial
  • 1x Mathematician



Everything else is kind of just filler. The best combo it can do is more of a loop. You mill in Swordsmith and Mezuki. You summon Uni-Zombie (who probably did one of those), and make him a Level 4. You then use Mezuki to Special Summon Swordsmith. You Synchro Summon into PSY-Framelord Omega. Swordsmith gives you a search.
Then, during your opponent's Standby Phase, Omega's first effect activates and you just simply return Mezuki to your Graveyard. Then, during the Main Phase, you can banish Omega (until your next SP) to banish a card in your opponent's hand.


I'd give a screenshot of the deck I have, for the new zombie archetype, but I don't have it. I deleted it a long time ago because I got frustrated that the game itself got too fast for the deck to handle.

Well I'll certainly consider that for a second deck, and I would like any tips you can give on that. Mostly, though, I was wanting to upgrade my Doomkaiser Assault deck. I don't have to completely delete my current deck just to have a new zombie deck in addition to it. But I'd appreciate tips on both decks then.

But that's the thing.. That deck isn't viable anymore. Although Shiranui can effectively summon it out faster, the result is still the same. 

I know there is a loop with Refusion, Mezuki and Norden that people have tried over the last few months (I haven't). But that's also designed mostly to summon 3 Omegas in a single turn, so that you can destroy your opponent's hand during their Main Phase. And synchrons do a better job at that, considering their newish support.
