First Attempt: You awake?

My first attempt at a Signature.
It sucks, since this is my first time with any control over GIMP 2. D:
This started as a school project.  Ended with a signature.

No. I think too much blur on the left side D: You can set that layer to screen and 50-90%.

It's not bad for your first attempt.

The color scheme you picked is all right and you have some cohesive stuff going on. I get a bit of raw synergy in it. It could be worked upon.

You need to see in your head a focal point and work your assets around it. Right now having both images disrupts the eyes a little since both are too similar, even though the one on the left is blurred out, it's not enough to turn it on a secondary element. Some of the colors could be better to flow with the others, but that's color theory you don't need as long as you have fun.

Too bright in my personal opinion... But you know me in that matter.
