Today i will talk about one of the most used traps there is.
It is used it various decks and it can be very usefull.
Lets see the card itself:
as you can see at the mere cost of 1000 life points you can limit your opponents strategies and gain total control.
Now the next question on your mind would be:
"Doesnt that effect my monters too?' It does but we will be learning to use this card to our advantage
Using cards like:
1.Chainsaw Insect:
If this card attacks or is attacked
, your opponent draws 1 card at the end of the Damage Step.
Now since the monster has no effect you are left with 2400 attack which is a lot for a level 4 mosnter plus your opponent does not get to draw cards when you attack
2.Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast:
You can Normal Summon or Set this card without Tributing. If you do,
its original ATK and DEF are halved.
The effect works in the hand and is not effected by skill drain.
3.Beast King Barbaros
You can Normal Summon or Set this card without Tributing. If you do, its original ATK becomes 1900. You can Tribute 3 monsters to Tribute Summon this card.
When you do, destroy all cards your opponent controls.
Same reason as fusilier,just more attack.
4.Goblin Attack Force:
If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase.
This card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of the next turn, except with a card effect.
Skill Drain can cause the card to stay in attack mode
5.Indomitable Fighter Lei Lei
If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. This card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn,
except with a card effect.
Same reason as Goblin attack force
6.A cat of ill Omen
FLIP: Select 1 Trap Card from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck. If "Necrovalley" is active on the field,
you can add the selected card to your hand instead.
To search for skill drain
7.Elemental hero wildheart:
This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards.
If this card was on the field before skill drain its effect still works!
8.Exiled Force
You can Tribute this card to destroy 1 monster on the field.
its effect works once its sent to the grave so its not effected by skill drain.
Advantages of Skill Drain:
It can destroy cards like Gadgets that totally.
Cards like Great Maju Gazrett,Evil Hero Dark Gaia and Chimeratech fortress dragon remain at 0 attack!
It can be a good source of beatdown(Explained above)
Effects in the hand can work.
Another deck which skill drain works well is little city but its not fully functional on KCVDS due to the lack of honest >.<
It revolves around summoning elemental heroes with high attack(Neos alius and captain gold
),and skill draining them.
You have Stratos as a searcher and Beast King Barbaros and Exiled force to support skill drain
So its a fun deck to play with and can really get you the perfect advantage.
