Should Pot of Greed come back? 300px-PotofGreed-LCYW-EN-ScR-1E

Yes, this card. I was strolling in Youtube until I watch 2 particular videos from MegaCapitalG. His argument is that Pot of Greed should come back to the game because it can give a fair advantage to all decks. It's not a card that can give a advantage to certain decks like what BLS, Pot of Avarice, Solemn Judgment, and Cardcar D can do. Pot of Greed can benefit to ALL decks just for only 3 simple words, "Draw 2 cards." Well I'll let you see it for yourself. It will only take like 20 mins of your life, but it's not like you have anything more important to do. Leave a comment of what you think about this comment.

No. It was banned because everyone used it. If PoG was unbanned, there would be no such thing as a deck without it inside it. It is generically OP, which is why cards get banned.

did you even watch the vids? -_-
He can explain why a lot better than me.

It's a free +1, you won't even think about it, you will draw it and play it. This is the reason that pot of greed is banned, it's so broke that any idiot can simply lay it on the table and get a +1.

Generic +1's that fit into all decks and require absolutely nothing at all to activate were ridden from the game. No card like that will be coming back.

Making hands more autopilot makes the game less skillful. While everyone would have the advantage, the reason cards are banned are because they pretty much ruin the fun of the game.

Would make the game even faster and even more luckbased, since it is the easiest +1 Draw in the game. Won't and shouldn't come back, having this just gives youa lot of advantage already.

Back when this was made most decks were a bit slow. It just doesn't have a niche to fill in today's meta. Having it back would make things boring. :/

But the video said that generic +1's that fit into all decks still exist: PoA, Card Car D; etc.

I personally wouldn't care about it coming back.

All of those cards have a significant drawback to using them.
Can't summon, End phase.

Name one +1 card that doesn't have a drawback to using it. POT OF GREED

For a lot of decks, including my own, recycling lost monsters with PoA isn't a drawback.
A cost? Yes.
Drawback? Not exactly.

Lets not forget Stratos either, or even Gadgets.

The examples given in video are not free +1's. They all have some form of condition attached to them.

PoA requires you to have 5 monsters in the grave, and you have to return them to the deck, which maybe you want to do, maybe you don't. It's capable of being a dead draw in the beginning of the duel.

Cardcar D requires you to use up your Normal Summon for the turn AND ends your turn immediately so that you can't take immediate advantage of the +1 you obtained.

If you want other generic +1's with 0 drawbacks or conditions, look to cards like Raigeki and Harpie's Feather Duster, both of which are also banned because they have no drawbacks or conditions and can give large amounts of card advantage for free. This is also why Heavy Storm was banned for a time, although Konami eventually decided that the draw back for that card was having to adapt your play around it (not letting you set s/t cards before using it) or requiring you to destroy your own s/t cards. Still, even for that card they've been wishy washy on whether or not to have it at 1 or banned.

That's the issue here. Guy in videos is making arguments that use very poor logic in an attempt to force his opinion to be the correct one. Any decent debater can see through his incohesive reasoning.

PoG promotes poor players to do well against more skilled players (the entire game state is like this though), and whoever draws it first can have a huge advantage with the extra card. Playing Mermails? Activate PoG and hope that your opponent has no way to net, otherwise they're - I'm so happy, it's unbelievable -. It's a card that says "whoever gets me first obtains a huge advantage." The game is already based enough on luck.

Fail, man. Today's draw cards never give u a 1+ advanatge without a heavy cost. Pit of Greed has no Drawbacks whatsoever. Someone PLEASE lock this.

descriptionShould Pot of Greed come back? EmptyRe: Should Pot of Greed come back?

Pot of greed is an instant +1 that adds more of the luck factor in the game than it needs to be. If it does come back, of course the game isnt over, but you are doing more harm than good by like i said bringing more luck factor into the game. I shouldn't have to explain why Pot of Greed is bad for the game in these high fast format

Don't believe all the sh*t MegaCapitalG says. And he says a LOT of things....

descriptionShould Pot of Greed come back? EmptyRe: Should Pot of Greed come back?

I think it's funny how non-veteran players who've never experienced this card in competitive play always try to argue that this card should come back. In a slow game-state this card was bad. It would be like five times worse today.
