I realized a little while back that I have a lot of Hieratic cards lying around, and I decided I would make a deck for the hell of it. For a while now I've been getting used to the playstyle of the archetype and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I am thinking about taking this deck to locals and want some feedback on it before I do. Hopefully you guys can help me make this competitive enough to take to my locals. Please rate and fix, do whatever, etc.

Personally one of my favorite Xyz Summons with this deck, in my opinion, is Sword Breaker; it's excellent for knocking down powerful, high-ATK monsters, and it's easy to summon using Hieratic Dragon of Su to summon Wattaildragon, or Luster Dragon #2.

I've used this combo to take on powerful monsters like Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. I was losing to him, he was eating away at my LP, so I brought out Sword Breaker and ended him.

If you don't know Sword Breaker, here he is:

From a first hand glance, I'd fit in a BLS, two Trags and a Curse of Dragon. If you want some more assistance, stop by my shop.

I'm not trying to go for a Chaos variant build. Sword Breaker seems like a pretty good idea though, I'll try it out and see how I like it, since I'm also debating a 2nd Bounzer...

Also, I made a mistake in the list, Tiras is actually Wind-Up Zenmaioh.

You must not know what a Chaos Hieratic build is then. I suggested double Trag for its actual purpose. He meshes with Hieratics incredibly well. Not to mention, every decent Hieratic build I've seen runs 1-2 Trags.

It doesn't make sense not to run BLS in this. If you do add Trag, you would have more than enough Darks/Lights to run him. He can easily be a game changer.

Curse of Dragon is debatable, but many could argue the pros outweigh the cons. For one, he gives you access to easy Rank 5's with Neb/Eset and would give you a good reason to run a third Neb. He is also a Dark, which is always a bonus. The only con is he has the possibility of him being a deaddraw.

3 Birdman might be too much, try a Delta Flyer he gives you access to the Trident Dragon otk. Also try siding Prime Material Dragon for burn match ups and side or main decking Koa'ki Meiru Drago for chaos match-ups or just not having Trag or Gorz ruining your OTK. Trag goes really well with Hieratics cause he either gives access to another easy xyz or makes a Gustav Max play. Another really good tech card to use is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Search him with Atum, use eff to banish a monster, and then get back a 3000 beater.
