you can make it better by using the basic userbar font, forgot its name tbh, by using a better gradient, using the glossy trick which is make half a circle then decrease its opacity and that's it..nothing complicated

Open up a canvas on Photoshop or gimp.
350x20 is what I normally use.
Take an stock, render or anything you want. You can do anything with a userbar
make a new layer and fill it with a pattern, like vertical lines or something. I don't know what program your using so I'm going to tell you how to create a pattern on photoshop. Open up a new canvas 6x6 and make sure the background is transparent. Use the pencil tool to create 6 dots that form a diagonal line. Click "Edit" at the top of the window and then "Define Pattern" and there you go. To use it on something else, you need to create a layer, then Edit - Fill and the pattern
Now add some gloss :D use the cicle selection tool to select that parts you want to be glossy and fill it with white. set the opacity to 10-20 and now all that's left is text.
download the visitor font off of dafont.com

Hope this helped!
