Really, this isn't the best I've done, but using renders like these is quite a challenge.

Indeed, you have done much better. However the renders are MQ so i won't say much. First of all you should try to follow the render colors, for the first sig it has green and white yet you used orange and red. Second one has Blue and Red, yet you used orange. Not like it's a big deal but using the same colors as the renders sometimes helps to hide the bad parts of your renders. also you need more dark and shadows and some light source reducing.

Thanks for the critique. Now to come up with a few comebacks.
Actually, sticking to the render's color is a bad idea, in my opinion. I decide on a color scheme that works and use it; I don't let the render decide it for me. Also, the renders are quite high in quality, but a few blur and lighting effects get in the way (I only blurred in the areas that are not to be focused on). As for the shadows, I didn't want to make my signature too dark just for the colors to be vibrant enough, and no, I didn't add any extra lighting; it's supposed to be like that.

What i really meant is that you didn't do much, placing C4D behind your render that doesn't fit the flow and using colors the render don't fit. Anyway, it's a good artwork.

Could be the way you see it. For me, I can see the flow for Shooting Star to be emitting from the right bottom side to the top left side, and as for Red Nova, it's more like that flow bursts out of him with a slight angle towards the right top side. Also, you can make the colors actually fit the render with a good mix of gradient maps and color adjustment layers.

Well, that's pretty much what we do in GFX. You're not supposed to stick to the original colors only; you need to play around with the color scheme to create something that looks good. If you use a Cloud render that would go with a red or yellow color scheme, that would be bad since it causes the color scheme to be monochromatic, which is what we try to avoid. This is why I use a mix or range of colors, so that the range is from yellow to red, along with everything in between, from blue to purple, and so on. I explained it in my tutorial.

You focus too much on that stuff, sometimes it's simple and gives more .. feelings. Anyway, it's hard to change your mind .. nvm, KIU

Lol, maybe. Usually, you don't think about all that, or the thought itself is more of a taste, so it sort of depends on experience and stuff like that. Anyway, that's for the review and the really long talk we had. I'll keep all your points in mind and see if it helps in the future. Thanks.
